At Saturday's Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix final, Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier will face off in the finals of a tournament that neither was expected to win. It's time to break down the most important aspect of their bout: their shirts.

On the left, you have Cormier's shirt from TrauMMA which is designed as a nod to his Louisiana roots with the fleur-de-lis and hometown flag on his shoulder. On the right is Barnett's latest shirt. It's not designated as a walkout shirt, but it's his latest available.

Though Barnett's shirt would make a cool design on a black light painting circa 1996, it's falling flat as a t-shirt. For going with an unconventional color and meaningful imagery, Cormier is the winner. Buy his shirt for $29.98, and Barnett's for $19.98.

Do you remember the 1998 movie with Drew Barrymore, Ever After, which was a twist on the classic Cinderella story? Well, that film is being turned into a stage musical which will appear on Broadway in the 2013-14 season. Do you think the 16th century French but still very modern Cinderella story will work on [...]

Though the weekend was dominated by the UFC fights on Fox, there were plenty of other fights over the weekend, including this quick knockout Michael Chandler pulled off at Bellator:

In his first fight since beating Eddie Alvarez for the Bellator lightweight title, Chandler needed just 0:56 to TKO Akihiro Gono. After the bout, Gono said he was retiring from his 18-year MMA career that included bouts in Pride, the UFC, Sengoku and Bellator.

In other Bellator action, Bryan Baker earned a trip to the welterweight tourney final with a decision over Ben Saunders. Heavyweight Damian Grabowski decisioned Dave Huckaba in a bout that registered as less-than-exciting, and Ryan Ford TKOed Luis Santos in the second round.

On "The Ultimate Fighter," Urijah Faber won the most important event: the Coaches Challenge. He beat Dominick Cruz in an obstacle course that involved the use of a grenade launcher. Afterwards, Andy Ogle beat Mike Rio with a rear naked choke to give Team Faber five fighters in the quarterfinals. Next week, James Vick will face Joe Proctor and Justin Lawrence will take on Michael Chiesa in the first quarterfinal bouts.

At Super Fight League, (go ahead and sing the song) James Thompson beat Bobby Lashley in a unanimous decision. Zelg Galesic scored the weekend's memorable moment with a flying knee knockout of Doug Marshall.

What was your favorite bout of the weekend? Speak up in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.

On Saturday, the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix will come to a conclusion and the lightweight belt will be tested. When the fights are over, we'll have answers to these questions:

1. Where do Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier stand in the heavyweight division? Both Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier are expected to be brought over to the UFC after this fight. While Strikeforce originally promised the grand prix winner a fight in Strikeforce after the win, every other heavyweight in their employ is now in the UFC. It's more likely that they will be in the UFC sooner than later, and how they perform in this Saturday's bout will decide what kind of challenge they will be given.

A strong performance can ensure the winner starts near the top of the ladder, fighting in an elimination bout. A weak, boring performance means the loser may end up having a long way to fight before getting anywhere near UFC gold.

2. Is Gilbert Melendez one of the world's best lightweights? Though fighting in one of the most packed weight classes, Melendez hasn't fought Frankie Edgar, Benson Henderson or any of the other top lightweights of the UFC, so it's hard to know where to rank him. With Josh Thomson, Melendez will get a chance both to prove himself against a tough opponent and a shot at winning the rubber match.

3. Who deserves a shot at the Strikeforce light heavyweight belt? Since Dan Henderson left for the UFC, the Strikeforce light heavyweight strap has been sitting on a shelf, collecting dust. Saturday's bout between Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante and Mike Kyle will help Strikeforce decide who should get that shot at the vacant title.

What questions are missing? Speak your mind in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.

Lola

Lola may not be a name recognized by the average consumer, but racing fans will know it well. The British concern has built and continues to build race cars that have spanned an enormous variety of series and disciplines since its founding in 1958, including (but not limited to) Formula One, Le Mans, CART and just about every formula feeder series you could think of, including Formula Two, Formula 3, Formula 3000, Formula 5000 and A1GP. Now, unfortunately, the company is filing for bankruptcy protection.

The reasons are pretty simple: too many expenses and not enough revenue, although tax credits it was due from the British government are also said to be partially to blame. As a result, the outfit responsible for - among numerous other accolades - five LMP2 titles at Le Mans since 2000 alone is entering financial administration as it seeks new investors.

Along with it, Lola Cars is taking Lola Composites, however the effect this might have on its concerns in defense and aerospace (among other areas) remains to be seen. As is the future of the SP/300.R track car which Lola builds for Caterham, or the countless racing teams that continue to count on Lola to build and support their sports prototypes. But with so many racing programs at stake, we can hardly imagine the company's considerable capabilities and expertise will go unclaimed for long. Scroll down for the official announcement.

Everyone's favorite zombie, Chan Sung Jung, is fighting Dustin Poirier at UFC on Fuel 3 Tuesday night. Here's a little reminder of what the featherweight can do:

His last two bouts ended memorably. In December, he knocked out Mark Hominick, as seen above, and in March of 2011 took out Leonard Garcia with the rarely-seen twister submission. Will he pull the great-ending hat trick on Tuesday? Tell us in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.

Jim Miller made weight in front of his home crowd at the Izod Center in Newark, just a half hour from where he trains. His opponent, Nate Diaz, also made weight to make their five-round fight on Saturday official.

The rest of the weigh-ins were uneventful. Danny Castillo sported the best outfit, coming to the stage in what appeared to be a suit and tie, but tore off like track pants. John Dodson's socks were the best accessory. John Lineker came in a pound heavy for his flyweight bout with Louis Gaudinot, and will hand over $1,200 to Gaudinot.

Michelle Higgins' damaged Chrysler Sebring from moose impact

We will cop to having arrived at work suffering from memory loss, but never from hitting a moose. At least not that we can remember, anyway.

It's a story that verily defines "news of the weird," courtesy of CNN: A Canadian woman not only hit a moose with her car on her way to work, she drove some 25 miles after the collision, unaware that she had struck the beast. But this was no glancing blow. The force of the impact killed the moose, but not before it had shattered the windshield and peeled back the roof of the Michelle Higgins' Chrysler Sebring.

The woman was traveling on the Trans-Canada Highway in Newfoundland, according to the report, when the accident occurred. When Higgins arrived at work - on time, mind you - she had blood streaming down her face and was unaware of what had transpired. Her injuries included two broken bones in her neck, bruises, a hoof print on her forehead... and memory loss. Scroll down to watch the remarkable video report from CNN.
